Sepent Trip 13/02/2010

Postby Hound » Sun Feb 07, 2010 11:12 am

Hello climbers,

This coming Saturday there is Serpent trip planned.

Serpent is a sporty overhung wall about 2 hours from Brisbane. It offers shady climbing in the morning and afternoon.

You can access a guide for this area here:
http://www.qurank.com/guides/Guide_Serpent.pdf

Serpent is a fun area with some quite unique climbs. Post here if you wish to go and if you are a driver/passenger.

You will need to organise your own gear with the quatermasters at the cliffs.

I'm in! It's been a long time since my last trip now.
I'll sort out the gear I need... But I will need a ride, and can meet up at the cliffs.

Ok, here is the current standing:

Tom - Driver
Therese
Bjorn

Alex - Driver
Kirsty
Aaron

My suggestion is that you meet at KP at around 7:30am to 8am. But this will be up to the drivers. I suggest the seconders contact the drivers.

going to print a guide today... doesn't sound too hard to find... maybe both cars should meet up somewhere on the way?
Have any of us been here before? (Bjorn?)

The image below is NOT from Serpent.
After overlooking the now overgrown trail and rain, Serpent was called off. With everyone keen for a climb still we headed to Coolum.

A great day out regardless.
I think this lil panorama sums up our day nicely.
