President
General
The President is the elected head of the club, they are responsible for the running of the club, albeit with the assistance of the executive. They hold overall responsibility for ensuring the safety standards of the club are maintained, as well as the financial status of the club. The club president for 2008 is Dave Lynn. The President (and the rest of the executive) is elected at the AGM held around October each year and holds office for 12 months.
Typical Tasks
Typical tasks that the President may be required to do include:
- Delegate tasks to other executive or club members
- Act as point of contact for external correspondence
- Ensure executive roles are be fulfilled
- Act as executive power in between meetings
- Chair club meetings
- Provide overall direction for club
- Make any necessary decisions (in conjunction with the remaining executive committee) regarding any aspect of the club.
