Member Benefits
With twice weekly top-roping at kangaroo point, regular trips and a great friendly atmosphere the club provides an excellent environment to learn to climb, improve your climbing or even just to socialise. The cost of membership includes top-roping twice a week with access to the club ropes, harnesses and helmets. QUT cliffhangers also has a large range of gear to fill almost any rockclimbing need, from quickdraws and dynamic ropes for sport climbing, two overflowing trad racks and a range of aid climbing equipment. Access to all of this gear is free to our climbing members, however they must satisfy the quartermasters of their competency to use it safely.
The club organises numerous local trips each semester and periodical interstate trips - the major one being the Blue Mountains trip) at the start of summer holidays. The club is also a fantastic avenue for organising small private climbing trips with groups of climbers heading out on countless day trips.
Member Responsibilities
All members must abide by the clubs terms and conditions and should read and understand the club constitution. The club is not a commercial climbing provider, its a cooperative organisation run by its members for its members. This means *everybody* needs to contribute, whether it's in administration, promotions, recruitment, safety, delivering ropes, organising trips, packing up at the end of club nights or organising social events.
