Alloy carabiners
Of the clubs range of alloy carabiners (outside of quickdraws) currently only the trango mini-hms screwgates used with the belay devices for top-roping are labelled. Like the quickdraws they have an adhesive label covered in clear heatshrink applied to the spine of the carabiner. The naming has been changed from its original AC01, AC02... and now follows CA01, CA02 and so on.
Steel carabiners
The clubs steel carabiners used primarily in top-rope setups are labelled in the same manner as the alloy carabiners and quickdraws, the clear heatshrink has copped significant damage here and probably could do with routine (yearly) replacement. The naming scheme has been changed from its original SC01, SC01.. etc and now follows the more logical CS01, CS02. The steelies were relabelled as of September 2007.
